About Sophia Ravenna

Sophia Ravenna lives and dances in Tucson, AZ. Her primary teachers were Anaya Tribal and Jolie Roberson, although she has studied with many other great AZ-based dancers as well. She enjoys performing fusion belly dance and the occasional tribal jam. In addition to performing as a soloist she is a proud member of Fire & Gold Belly Dance.

Sophia is addicted to taking workshops and attending dance festivals. She loves learning new ideas, meeting new dancers, and coming home to blog all about it. If not for the fact that she would miss her husband and her pets, she would probably sell all of her non-dance stuff and travel from festival to festival all over the country,

When not dancing, Sophia loves to read, drink tea, make jewelry, and work on new costumes. She is proud that Tucson has a great body love community, and thinks that belly dance and body positivity go hand in hand.
